Terms of Service
Effective date and last updated: November 2, 2026
Website: getblackoutready.com · Contact: stan@instantmarketing.app
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Blackout Ready at getblackoutready.com. Blackout Ready is operated by Stan Collins (StanCollins.Marketing) ("we," "us"). The Printable Family Blackout Plan is a planned digital product, not currently available for purchase. By using the site, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing the site or creating an account where offered, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Affiliate Disclosure, as applicable. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Email subscriptions and purchases are not currently offered.
2. Eligibility and U.S.-only audience
The site is intended for adults planning for households in the United States. A future paid product is intended for U.S. purchasers at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their state). No paid product is currently offered to anyone.
3. Planned product and proposed license
The Printable Family Blackout Plan is planned as a digital PDF download; nothing would ship. It is not currently on sale, and no active price or purchase offer is stated here.
Proposed license for a future purchased PDF: a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license for your own household planning, including printing copies for household members. Reselling, redistributing, republishing, public sharing, sublicensing, commercial training or use for competing products would require prior written consent. Final product and license terms will be confirmed before sale. You may use and print your own free calculator checklist for household planning.
4. Purchase and payment
No checkout or payment processing is currently active. Stripe is not connected. We do not collect payment card information or accept orders for the planned PDF. Any future price, payment provider and billing terms will be disclosed before purchases are offered.
5. Delivery
There is no active paid digital delivery or instant-download service. The current free dashboard can be printed using your browser; that is separate from the planned paid PDF. Future delivery terms will be confirmed before sales begin.
6. Refunds
There are currently no purchases on this site to refund. The Refund Policy explains the proposed future approach: final sales after download, subject to applicable law, with remedies for defective files, inaccessible delivery and duplicate charges. A working replacement would be attempted first; if unavailable, a refund to the original payment method would be proposed. No Stripe refund process is active. The Refund Policy controls for refunds if its wording differs from these Terms, and mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
7. Retailer and future affiliate links
Current product links are ordinary retailer links; no affiliate programs or tracking URLs are currently active. We may introduce clearly labeled affiliate links in the future and may then earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our Affiliate Disclosure. We do not currently claim Amazon Associates participation.
8. Informational content — not professional advice
Content on Blackout Ready, including articles, checklists, plans and related materials, is general household preparedness information. It is not medical, electrical, legal, engineering or emergency-response advice and is not a substitute for manufacturers’ instructions, your utility, licensed professionals or local emergency officials.
- Follow manufacturer instructions for generators, power stations, batteries, medical devices and other equipment.
- Follow your utility and local officials during an outage.
- In an emergency, call 911.
- Portable generators produce carbon monoxide. Never use a portable generator inside homes, garages, basements, crawlspaces, sheds or other enclosed areas, even with doors or windows open. Operate outdoors only, at least 20 feet from homes and buildings, with exhaust directed away from openings. Install working CO and smoke alarms. See CPSC generator safety guidance.
9. No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee that following any checklist, plan or article will prevent injury, property damage, food spoilage, device failure or other loss during a power outage or other event. Preparedness needs vary by household. Official sources such as Ready.gov provide baseline guidance that you should adapt with local officials’ direction.
10. Intellectual property
Site content, branding and any future Family Blackout Plan PDF, including text, layout, worksheets and graphics, are owned by Stan Collins / Blackout Ready or used under license. Except for permitted household use and any license explicitly granted, no rights are granted. Do not copy or scrape substantial portions of the site for republication.
11. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site or any future product, including by attempting unauthorized access, interfering with operation, using automated scraping that harms the service, uploading malware, harassing others or violating applicable law. We may suspend access we reasonably believe violates these Terms.
12. Third-party services and links
The current site relies on Lovable hosting and Lovable Cloud for authentication and articles, and links to retailers and official preparedness sources. Third parties’ own terms and privacy practices apply to their services. Stripe checkout, MailerLite marketing and Google Analytics are not currently connected. We are not responsible for third-party sites or products. Links to Ready.gov, Red Cross, CPSC or similar agencies are provided for convenience; those agencies do not endorse Blackout Ready.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that site access will be uninterrupted or error-free. Any future digital product will be subject to its then-published terms and remedies; it is not currently offered.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BLACKOUT READY AND STAN COLLINS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM USE OF THE SITE OR ANY FUTURE PRODUCT. For any future purchase, the proposed total liability for a purchase-related claim would not exceed the amount paid to us for that purchase in the twelve months before the claim, subject to applicable law and the terms confirmed before sale. Some states do not allow certain limitations; in those states liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stan Collins and Blackout Ready from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from misuse of the site or any future product, violation of these Terms, or violation of law or a third-party right, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct, and to the extent permitted by applicable law.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Arizona will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to Section 17 and applicable law.
17. Dispute resolution
If a dispute arises, contact stan@instantmarketing.app first so we can try to resolve it informally. If we cannot, either party may pursue claims in the courts identified in Section 16.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms here and change the effective and last-updated dates. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
